After clicking on Advanced option, Click on the Run as administration

Once the troubleshooting is done you can check that the error code 0x800705b4 in Windows Update still persists or not.
Method 2: Change Windows Update Settings
If you are a Window 10 user and encountered 0x800705b4 error, then this method works best for you. The reason for the error can be due to damaged Windows Update Setting. The best way to fix this issue is to change the Windows Update Setting.
You can Update the Windows Setting by following the simple Steps given below:
In Cortana, type Windows Update, as you will click, a pop-up menu will open and from the menu Select and Click on Check for updates.
In the Windows Update, under the update setting, click on Advanced Options.
To check the updates, it is necessary to clear the option ‘Give me updates for other Microsoft Products when I update Windows’. Under Choose how updates, so select and clear the option. For more details refer the below screenshot:

Method 3: Delete Some Related Files
If the previous two methods do not work for you, and you still face the error code 0x800705b4, then the error may have occurred due to some of the corrupted codes or files. If this is the reason, then you may fix the issue simply by deleting those corrupted files or codes and this can be done juts by following simple steps given below:
In the Cortana, Search for Service, as you search for service a pop-up menu will open and from the pop-up menu click on Services.
From the list search for the ‘Background Intelligent Transfer Service‘, right click on the service and then select Stop. The clear details are shown in the below image.
Similarly, from the list select on the Window Update, right click on it and select Stop.
Once the above two services are stop. Navigate to “C:/Windows\SoftwareDistribution by opening up the Windows Explorer.
As you navigate to the folder, Delete all the content present in the folder. There may be the case, that some files may not be deleted. In that case, repeat Step 3 and try again. Once everything is done, make sure that you have deleted “Download” and “Delivery optimization”.
